Credit risks are the main underwriting focus in EULA5. The Global Credit Solutions (GCS) team is writing business mainly with global banks by insuring credit risks originated by the banks, where the team assumes the role of a primary insurer. Your task as a Client Relation Risk Manager is to attract new bank clients, manage existing bank clients and writing proactive business within your responsibility. It is necessary to meet credit decision in conjunction with the Risk Underwriting (RUW).

Your Job

• Developing our global business by binding new transactions with new and existing clients
• Establish new and foster existing client relationships, with focus on the global banks. Identify the relevant people within these organisations and establish a personal relationship
• Negotiation and finalizing of insurance policies and Master Risk Participation Agreements with the global banks
• Own risk assessments of the transactions offered by the banks, especially in the area of trade finance
• Assessment of the banks capabilities in originating and assessing credit risks in all relevant trade finance products
  
  
  

Your Profile

• University degree, preferably in business or economics, or equivalent training (banking traineeship followed by relevant further education)
• Several years’ professional experience within a bank or professional experience in the risk transfer market between banks and insurance companies in the field of Global Trade Finance
• Proven track record in originating, structuring and closing trade finance and credit risk transactions directly with banks and/or corporates, combined with a demonstrated ability to generate new business opportunities and build long-term strategic client relationships across international markets
• Several years of professional experience in client management and the acquisition and development of international banking and corporate clients
• Strong business development capabilities, including the ability to identify new market opportunities, expand market presence and establish strategic partnerships in key trade finance markets
• Demonstrated experience in establishing, developing and scaling new business areas, products, platforms or market initiatives, ideally in an international environment
• Deep understanding of global trade finance products, risk mitigation structures and relevant international markets
• Strong commercial mindset combined with sound risk assessment capabilities, relationship management skills and the ability to successfully execute complex transactions
• Superior analytical skills in conjunction with a pronounced risk awareness and sense of responsibility, along with a willingness and ability to justify decisions in a clear and comprehensible manner
• Team-oriented, entrepreneurial and solution-driven personality with a high degree of initiative and the ability to work independently
• Business-level English required; additional excellent foreign-language skills an advantage
• Confident manner, high degree of social skills when interacting with colleagues, clients or in-house interfaces
