We as Global Sales & Distribution are responsible for the implementation of the global sales vision and advise our client teams in their daily work to generate additional value for Munich Re`s clients. Our Strategic Market Intelligence subteam is looking for a highly motivated intern to support us with Financial and Strategic Advisory topics. As an intern in our team, you will contribute to shaping the strategic future of our sales organization within Munich Re. Your assignment will ideally start in October 2026 for ideally 6 months.

Your job



Together we will be working on the execution of our global Financial Advisory and Strategic Market Intelligence projects, which includes:



  • Conducting market, competitor and financial analyses using financial databases (e.g., S&P Capital IQ) and visualization of the results

  • Assessing and interpreting capital market developments (e.g., interest rates, reinsurance capitalization) and summarizing key findings

  • Supporting current cross-divisional strategy projects for the top management

  • Supporting ad-hoc requests from the management



Your profile



We are looking for an intern who is/has



  • completed their bachelor’s degree or are pursuing their master’s degree in business administration/economics with a focus on finance, accounting or a comparable field of study with above-average academic performance

  • gained initial work experience in the financial, consulting or industrial sector

  • high affinity for capital markets, corporate finance and financial data

  • excellent analytical, methodical and conceptual skills as well as a high degree of solution orientation and the ability to think "out of the box" even under time pressure

  • commitment, team spirit and communication skills

  • fluent in English both written and verbally, basic German is a plus
