Senior Power Electronics Engineer
Responsibilities

• Lead the overall design and architecture of power electronic systems, including topological structure selection (e.g., inverter, DC/DC converter), power flow planning, and specification of critical components such as semiconductors, capacitors, and inductors.
• Develop sophisticated simulation models to evaluate system performance under various conditions, including steady-state, dynamic responses, fault scenarios, and thermal management. Identify and mitigate potential risks early in the development process.
• Oversee experimental verification, conduct comprehensive testing of novel technologies, and collate detailed technical reports to inform continuous product and process improvements.
• Build and maintain strategic collaborations with industry-leading research institutions and suppliers to facilitate joint R&D activities.
• Manage the full project lifecycle-planning, execution, risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting-ensuring milestones are met and deliverables align with technical and business goals.
• Stay abreast of emerging global trends in power electronics, conducting benchmarking studies and transforming insights into actionable strategic initiatives.
• Lead feasibility assessments and in-depth technical analyses of innovative concepts, evaluating their potential for integration into current and future product lines.
• Work collaboratively with engineering teams across regions to develop prototypes, validate concepts, and ensure seamless technology transfer into mass production.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Master's degree or higher in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Electronics, or a related discipline.
• Significant industry experience (preferably 5+ years) in leading automotive OEMs or Tier-1/2 suppliers, especially in inverter, OBC, or DCDC converter development and mass production environments.
• Proven expertise in power electronics fundamentals, including topological design principles and system integration.
• Strong proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout design, with an understanding of SiC and IGBT power module principles.
• Programming skills in Matlab, Python, or equivalent tools for simulation and data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills in English, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• PhD qualification in a relevant field.
• Experience working in multicultural teams and managing international collaborations.
• Knowledge of EMC standards and familiarity with power module thermal management.
• Track record of taking products from concept to mass production.
