HR Manager (m/f/d) - #2636621
DONE!Berlin
We are DONE!Berlin, an international consulting company that specializes in helping fast-growing companies of all sizes navigate the ever-changing world of work. Among other things, we help our clients attract the best talent for their company.
Our client, a global leader in physical AI, anchored in Europe’s strongest robotics heritage. Founded by entrepreneurs with backgrounds in scaling digital products and advanced robotics, the team is bolstered by senior leadership from top-tier AI research labs and industrial tech companies.
Driven by a mission to create versatile and trustworthy embodied AI for physical labor, they fuse deep engineering mastery in AI and mechatronics with a rapid-execution culture. They are addressing the labor shortage by closing the gap to production-grade deployment. This means building the trusted alternative: robots that are safe, secure, and engineered to automotive standards of scale and durability.
Well-capitalized and operating in semi-stealth, we are now assembling our core team.
The Role
As an HR Manager, you enter as a key member of the early team. You will work directly with the Head of HR, supporting the HR function as the company scales and helping to implement and maintain HR processes across both company locations - Munich, Germany, and Limassol, Cyprus - while acting as the main point of contact for employees based in Germany.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle — onboarding, offboarding, employee support
- Maintain accurate HR records and employee files in compliance with German labour law
- Own payroll processes and data accuracy within Personio, coordinating with external payroll providers
- Act as the primary HR contact for employees in Germany, providing guidance on local HR matters
- Support the implementation of performance review and feedback cycles
- Draft, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures
- Oversee office management in Munich, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
Who We Are Looking For
We seek professionals who value structure, reliability, and precision, and who enjoy supporting people operations in a fast-growing organisation.
- Experience: 3-5+ years in an HR Generalist or HR Operations role, ideally in a fast-growing tech or startup environment
- German labour law: solid working knowledge of German employment law and local HR practices
- HRIS: hands-on experience with Personio or a comparable tool
- Languages: fluent in German and English — both are daily working languages
- Tech mindset: experience working in a tech company or startup; comfortable with ambiguity and limited process
- Mindset: structured, reliable, ownership-driven — you follow through without being managed
Why us?
- The Team: Work alongside leadership with a proven track record of building unicorn-scale companies and defining global robotics standards.
- Smart Strategy: We operate as disciplined fast followers. Capital is timed to the deployment inflection point, avoiding early-mover dead ends to scale fast on proven foundations.
- Resources: We are substantially internally funded and attract top-tier investors to avoid any capital constraints for our mission.
- Historic Opportunity: Join at the dawn of a new industry comparable to the rise of the automobile. Help shape the European champion in this trillion-dollar market.
We are an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all builders.
