We are partnering with a globally recognised technology communications consultancy to appoint a Managing Director to lead its German office. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for business growth, client development, team leadership, and the commercial performance of the German business.

The successful candidate will lead a team of around 25 people, working closely with European and global leadership to accelerate growth, expand the agency’s offer, and strengthen its position as a leading technology communications partner in Germany.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a clear growth strategy for Germany, aligned with European and global objectives
• Own the commercial performance of the German business, including full P&L responsibility
• Drive new business through a strong senior-level network across technology, media, and business communities
• Grow existing client relationships through strategic counsel, cross-selling, and long-term partnership development
• Act as a visible ambassador for the agency in the German market
• Position the agency beyond traditional PR, with a focus on integrated, insight-led and measurable communications
• Expand the agency’s offer across areas such as influencer marketing, content production, paid social media, AI and data-driven communications
• Lead senior client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser to major local and international clients
• Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team, building collaboration, accountability and a strong one-team culture

Key Requirements:

• Strong leadership experience within a communications, PR or consulting agency
• A proven track record in business development, revenue growth and client expansion
• Deep knowledge of the German communications market
• Strong expertise in the technology sector, with consumer tech experience welcomed
• Confidence leading P&L, commercial forecasting and complex stakeholder relationships
• High energy, entrepreneurial drive and a hands-on leadership style
• Fluency in both German and English
