As Vice President of Sales, you will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for developing and executing our global sales strategy. You will lead high-performing regional sales teams - including Inside Sales, Account Executives, Account Managers, and Sales Engineers - as well and closely partner with our Global Channel Management team. Your leadership will be instrumental in accelerating our growth, expanding our market presence, and fostering a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Execute Global Sales Strategy:
- Design and implement a comprehensive, scalable sales strategy aligned with company objectives. Identify new market opportunities, prioritize target segments, and create actionable plans to drive revenue growth across all regions and channels.
Lead and Manage Regional Sales Teams:
- Oversee regional sales leaders and their teams, including Inside Sales, Account Executives, Account Managers, and Sales Engineers. Set clear goals, provide regular coaching, and ensure each team is equipped to achieve and exceed targets.
Forecasting, Reporting, and KPI Management:
- Establish robust forecasting processes and set clear KPIs for all sales teams. Monitor and analyze sales performance data, providing regular reports and actionable insights to executive leadership. Adjust strategies based on data-driven findings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Operations to align on go-to-market strategies, product launches, and customer feedback loops. Ensure seamless communication and collaboration across departments to optimize the customer journey and sales process.
Customer Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key enterprise customers and strategic accounts. Participate in high-level negotiations, support major deal closures, and represent the company at industry events and conferences.
Talent Acquisition and Team Development:
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top-performing sales and channel professionals. Foster a culture of continuous learning and high performance through ongoing training, mentorship, and career development initiatives.
Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities. Leverage market intelligence to refine sales tactics, anticipate customer needs, and maintain a competitive edge.
Sales Process Optimization:
- Evaluate and refine sales processes, methodologies, and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Champion the adoption of CRM and sales enablement technologies to support data-driven decision-making.
Budgeting and Resource Allocation:
- Develop and manage the global sales budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve strategic objectives. Monitor expenditures and ROI to maximize profitability.
Drive Channel Sales Performance:
- Partner with the global channel sales team, establishing and nurturing relationships with key partners, resellers, and distributors. Develop channel programs, set partner performance metrics, and ensure effective enablement and support to maximize indirect revenue streams.
Champion Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:
- Promote a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace across all sales teams and geographies, ensuring a positive and collaborative environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in the software or technology sector, with a proven track record of managing global teams and consistently exceeding targets.
- Demonstrated success in channel sales management and building global partner networks.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and drive teams across cultures and geographies.
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with CRM and sales enablement tools.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
