We are recruiting a Governance Process Specialist in the Claims Area.
How can you make an impact?
This position will allow you to gain top management visibility. With your functional expertise, you are a strong connector and collaborator, who motivates, supports, and influences stakeholders from diverse OEs and backgrounds to achieve the governance requirements for Global P&C Claims.
In your role as a Governance Process Specialist, you will:
- Fulfil the Administrative Office function of the Group Claims Committee to meet the requirements of the Rules of Procedure, including Minutes, and keeping the Group Claims Committee documents
- Business Process Management Coordinator role for the Group Claims Committee, including maintenance of the Committee processes in ADONIS
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of organizational & operational structure requirements for the System of Governance (SOG), e.g., Corporate Rules/Policies, Adonis/Process descriptions, etc.
- Review the implementation of Legal, IT, Risk, and Compliance requirements and identify potential updates needed
- Conduct compliance checks of OE’s attestations of adherence to rules such as the "Functional Rule for Claims Management" and the "Functional Rule for Minimum Data Requirements," and track and follow up on action plans
- Support OEs in achieving action plans related to these rules
- Develop and optimize internal concepts for governance and compliance processes
- Monitor actions required by Compliance to meet BaFin requirements and to ensure full governance for the Global P&C Claims area
- Provide governance and IT risk support in the implementation of Global P&C Claims internal technical solutions
- Track the need for updates to internal documents such as "Group Claims Committee Rules of Procedure”, the Claims sections in BIA & BCM, and NFRM Scoping Controls
- Be responsible for the delivery of your own work streams / projects
- Prepare top management presentations providing transparency for Management Stakeholders and the Group Claims Committee
- Collaborate with managers from different countries and Group Centers to collaborate in the areas of Legal, Compliance and IT Risk to identify current regulations and changes
You are enthusiastic about effective business processes, documentation, audit trails, and evidence of good business practices, and the opportunity to contribute to Allianz's reputation and good governance. In addition to appropriate university qualifications, you have:
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Performance and outcome driven orientation
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks
- Strategic thinking to connect the dots across governance functions
- Experience to contribute to the collaborative identification of new approaches to Governance and design of initiatives to maximize those opportunities
- Support standard setting for OEs claims governance management and reporting
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Experience managing small projects
- Excellent English language skills, additional language is a plus
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with confidence to interact with senior management
- Ability to work independently and quickly take on new tasks and topics
- Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
- Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solutions is also a plus
