Who will you be joining?
Organizational Business Transformation (OBT), as part of Organizational Management (OM), is the team responsible for business analysis in projects or major application changes, acting as facilitator between business departments (focusing on NatCat teams), enterprise architects and IT Application Development.
Effective test management builds an essential part of developing high quality software and processes, as also required as per local regulations. In this environment the Test Manager contributes to the implementation of the target processes and IT platforms by coordinating testing phases while taking into consideration the big picture at OM level (ensuring alignment with the rest of OM scope, documenting and being the gatekeeper for all risks, compliance, legal topics). Key business stakeholders will be the NatCat team and related project organization in Munich.

How can you make an impact?
For the NatCat project you will:
- Take responsibility for overall coordination and consistent on-time delivery of testing efforts
- Plan coordinate and monitor testing efforts
- Define test strategy and test design incl. quality criteria, test automation needs, staging/infrastructure needs, documentation standards, test methods and tools etc.
- Advise project in creation, provision and improvement of test data and setting up test cases in development process
- Plan tests and required test cycles specifically with regards to functional tests; ensure technical testing is executed as required with service provider / Allianz Technology
- Coordinate global testing efforts with business and project team as well as other Allianz operating entities
- Support UATs, plan and coordinate across product components in alignment with functional owners, document test result and sign off
- Actively improve test process to relieve business colleagues from test burden while maintaining or improving test quality
- Evaluate potential for test automation; set test automation targets and monitor adherence to targets
- Good knowledge of Test Automation with strong experience in Test Automation tools and usage – Preferred: Java, Cucumber BDD, Serenity, Selenium, RestAssured.
- Good knowledge of SCM tools, e.g. Git.
- Ability to direct, lead and review automation test cases of the test automation team
- Acting as an interface to instance management / release management
- Advice / guide projects and product owners on testing (best practices / standards)
- Owns the testing process and seeks for continuous improvements
- Ensure regulatory compliance for testing topics within project portfolio
- Several years of professional experience and as Test Manager
- Business Administration Degree or similar
- Strong business knowledge of NatCat processes and systems, e.g. Verisk Touchstone, RMS, OASIS etc.
- Certification as Test Manager (ISTQB or similar)
- Expert in test management tools (e.g. Jira Xray)
- Tool knowledge for test automation (e.g. Java, Selenium, Cucumber BDD, RestAssured for API Testing, Python & SQl would be a plus)
- Fluent in English, even in complex matters (other languages welcome)
- Strong communication and moderation skills (e.g. experience in conflict moderation and/or presentation towards senior management)
- Strong analytical skills (e.g. understand business and technical dependencies of a topic quickly)
- High degree of proactivity to see and solve issues without supervisors constantly steering
- Experience in the (re-)insurance industry is a plus
- Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
- Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solutions
