Job Description

We are looking for a Key Account Manager to build and maintain partner relationships; we will encourage creativity to present new solutions with a test and learn mentality; and in return will look for a balance between excellent execution of BU priorities with a strategic approach to ensure sustainable consumer sales growth.

This role reports to the Sales Director, member of the LEGO GmbH leadership team. Responsibilities for the assigned role will include a contribution to the development and future readiness of our toy association & independent toy specialist partner. This is a collaborative, and strategic important role empowered to be creative, drive performance and prioritise personal development. If this sounds exciting, then apply!

Please note This position will be based in our LEGO Sales Office in Grasbrunn, close to Munich and will follow a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and up to 2 days remotely. Relocation support is not offered.


Core Responsibilities



  • Set direction & deliver outstanding end-to-end execution of commercial toy association & independent toy specialist plans across Germany, Austria & Switzerland.
  • Drive strong collaboration with external key partners through development of customer business plans and customer value propositions
  • Collaborate with internal partners across key account management, field sales, marketing and operations to drive commercial impact and category development.
  • Propose, convince, and implement high quality customer planning.
  • Hold profit and loss responsibility of accounts assigned.
  • Functional leadership

The role supports the Business Unit overall ambition as well as our Western Europe growth agenda. Although there is a clear trend to more eCom sales accelerated by the pandemic, Brick and Mortar business is back and even beyond to pre Covid times, remains important and is growing across Germany, Austria & Switzerland. The Key Account Manager is orchestrating and activating with the toy associations, the field force as well as the field sales management to reach more consumer & shopper through dependent & independent toy specialist retail partner.

Do You Have What It Takes



  • In-depth experience in Key Account Management roles preferably within a multinational FMCG focused organisation.
  • A high level of business understanding of both the offline as well as the online market and have a strategic perspective combined with strong executional skills.
  • Strong relationship builder who is energised by driving strong commercial results securing new business and creating ongoing relationships.
  • An analytical approach to business utilising data to build stories and convince others (MS Office suite proficiency is essential here).
  • Proficient in German and English
