Our Mission

At Circus (Xetra: CA1), headquartered in Hamburg with offices in Berlin and Munich, we are pioneering global developments in on-demand autonomous food production. From culinary creation to production and operations, everything is powered by seamlessly integrated robotics and transformative AI.

Our foundation lies in groundbreaking advancements in robotics, driven by artificial intelligence — the long-missing link in realizing fully autonomous food automation. The time has come for a new status quo: just as autonomous vehicles are reshaping our cities and daily lives, we are redefining the entire experience of food.

Our team brings together leading minds in Robotics, AI, Engineering, and Culinary, working closely with industry-leading partners to revolutionize how food is prepared, accessed, and experienced.

Join us as we shape a future where the art of cooking meets the science of technology — and where food becomes something fundamentally new.

About The Role

As the Technical Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in setting up, managing, and continuously improving our showroom operations. This customer-facing role requires a strong technical background, hands-on expertise, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure seamless product demonstrations and efficient day-to-day showroom activities. You will also be involved in the continuous improvement of our robotic systems and operational excellence, contributing to both the R&D, commercial and deployment teams while owning the expansion of our showroom network.

Your Daily Business

  • Showroom Setup & Operations: Oversee the setup, operation, and continuous improvement of showroom activities, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and impactful customer demonstrations.
  • Technical Support: Provide on-site technical support, including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, and ensure the proper functioning of showroom equipment.
  • Operational Excellence: Support ingredient preparation, system setup, loading, and shutdown of robotic kitchen systems for demos. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards throughout operations.
  • Collaboration & Feedback: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineering, culinary, commercial, and R&D, to provide feedback on operational processes and product improvements.
  • Prototyping & Continuous Improvement: Assist in the development, assembly, and modification of prototypes, ensuring systems are aligned with operational goals. Support ongoing testing and improvements of robotic systems.
  • Demo Management: Coordinate food loading, cleaning, and set-up for demonstrations, ensuring equipment is ready and operating optimally during demos.
  • Multi-Location Leadership: As the showroom network grows, take on responsibilities for training and managing showroom staff, and help scale operations across multiple locations.

Base Qualifications

  • Completed apprenticeship or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • Strong technical aptitude for troubleshooting and maintaining robotic kitchen systems, with a focus on electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals, and apply this knowledge to operational improvements.
  • Fluent in German, with strong communication skills and the ability to confidently present to customers.
  • Ability to work across teams, thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and adapt to new challenges.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, ideally within a technical or food production setting.
  • Knowledge of agile project management, continuous improvement methodologies, and OKRs is a plus.

Our Offer

  • Competitive Compensation: Receive a competitive compensation package with offered stock options for full-time employees.
  • Work-Life Balance: Enjoy regular team events, a hybrid work setup, 2 months/year remote work (Workation), and unlimited vacation days, along with a corporate pension plan.
  • Personal Development: €500 personal annual training budget, access to internal trainings, and strong growth opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mobility: Benefit from a €50 monthly mobility or expense budget and a subsidized Dance Mobility Subscription for E-Bike/E-Moped.
