Key Responsibilities
We're looking for an AI Engineer (m/f/d) to join our fast-paced incubator squad, focused on transforming automotive data into intelligent, AI-driven solutions. In this role, you’ll design and develop agentic software systems that power new business ideas from concept to prototype. Founded in 2010, Veact empowers automotive businesses to unlock the full potential of real-time data for personalised interactions that drive measurable revenue and remarkable customer experiences across the entire customer lifecycle. Powered by self-learning technology and a broad automotive know-how, Veact’s Automotive Marketing Platform creates accurate 360° customer profiles, and thus empowers automotive OEMs and dealerships to personalize sales, marketing & service interactions, drive measurable revenue and increase operational efficiency.
Veact now has around €15 million in revenue and about 100 FTE. We are an established scaleup within the automotive software ecosystem and the secret weapon behind some of the world's biggest car brands and their dealership organizations. Veact has embarked on an ambitious European growth journey to capture the potential of 380,000 car dealerships and repair shops generate a turnover of €170 billion in aftersales alone.

We're looking for an AI Engineer (m/f/d) to join our fast-paced incubator squad, focused on transforming automotive data into intelligent, AI-driven solutions. In this role, you’ll design and develop agentic software systems that power new business ideas from concept to prototype. If you're passionate about innovation, autonomous systems and shaping the future of mobility, we want to hear from you.
- You will design and build these autonomous or semi-autonomous software agents
- You will implement workflows where software can take initiative, reason, and act towards goals - not just execute static code
- You will work with AI models, orchestration tools, APIs and data pipelines to bring intelligent agents to life in real-world contexts (like automotive, in your case)
- You will mix traditional software engineering with AI system design and product innovation
- Python, TypeScript, or similar – strong coding skills in modern, versatile languages
- Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and agentic behavior (planning, memory, tool use)
- Experience with vector databases or knowledge graphs is a big plus
- Cloud & DevOps familiarity – deploying prototypes using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, AWS
- Comfortable working in an incubator or startup-like environment – fast-paced, exploratory, iterative
- Fluent English (and German)
