What You Will Enjoy Doing

We're building something new: ALPLA's Western Europe Sales organization is currently taking shape, and we're looking for a Key Account Manager - based in Munich - to help build it from the ground up. In this role, you'll be the commercial face of ALPLA for some of our most important regional and international customers while having a real influence over how our WEEU business grows in the years ahead.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own and grow a portfolio of strategic regional and international customer relationships, from the local buyer to the corporate decision-maker
• Build joint business plans with your key accounts and turn them into long-term, profitable partnerships
• Spot new business opportunities within your existing accounts and in the wider market, and lead the commercial negotiations that turn them into signed deals
• Coordinate sales activity and customer strategy across multiple WEEU countries, working hand in hand with local sales teams
• Support tenders and large regional projects, and keep pricing, budgets and forecasts for your accounts on track
• Monitor market developments, competitor activities, customer trends, risks, and growth opportunities, and proactively share insights across the organization to support business decisions.
• Team up with Operations, Procurement, Product Development and Finance to bring innovation and new products to your customers
  
  

What makes you great

• A degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering or a related field
• 5–8 years of experience in Key Account Management, Sales or Business Development, ideally in packaging, FMCG, plastics or another industrial sector
• A track record of managing multinational customers and negotiating complex contracts
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, comfortable with CRM tools and business planning
• A natural at building relationships, influencing stakeholders and thinking strategically while staying results-driven and hands-on
• Fluent language skills in English; additional European languages are a plus
• Willingness to travel across WEEU countries and to your customers (up to 50%)
