The Role

Documentation meets technology. As a Technical Documentation Engineer AI, you will own and continuously improve our documentation toolchain, with a particular focus on AI-driven solutions. You will combine hands-on technical expertise with technical writing experience to make the way we create, manage and deliver documentation smarter and more efficient.

Key Responsibilities

Documentation toolchain

• Configure, operate and maintain our documentation systems, particularly MadCap IXIA CCMS and Fluid Topics
• Adapt and optimize our toolchain as requirements evolve
• Evaluate new features and technologies and determine how they can improve our documentation environment
  
  

AI integration

• Drive the integration of AI into our documentation toolchain to improve quality, efficiency and user experience
• Identify, evaluate and implement practical AI use cases for technical documentation
  
  

Technical expertise & support

• Be the technical point of contact for our Technical Writers on tools and systems
• Support the team with troubleshooting, guidance and training
• Work closely with Development, Product Management and other teams on documentation-related technical topics
  
  

Technical writing

• Contribute to technical writing when needed and stay close to the day-to-day work of the documentation team
  
  

Key Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience configuring and working with a Component Content Management System (CCMS), ideally MadCap IXIA CCMS
• Strong knowledge of XML and DITA
• Practical experience in technical writing
• Experience with Content Delivery Platforms such as Fluid Topics is a plus
• A strong interest in AI and hands-on motivation to apply it to technical documentation and documentation workflows
• A proactive approach to improving tools, processes and ways of working
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Technical Writers, Development and Product Management
• A collaborative and supportive way of working
