Business Development Manager (M&A) - Germany - #2768306
AniCura
Date: vor 1 Stunde
Stadt: München
Vertragstyp: Ganztags
Job title: Business Development Manager (M&A) - Germany
Location: Munich / Hybrid
Hours: Full-time
Why join us?
You will lead acquisitions of veterinary clinics and clinic groups in Germany for AniCura, part of Mars Veterinary Health. You own the process from the first conversation with an owner through valuation, negotiation and closing, and then hand the clinic to the integration team. The deals are often with vets who built their practice themselves, so the work is as much about trust as it is about numbers.
What you'll do
You will join the MVH Europe Business Development Team, reporting directly to the Business Development Senior Manager and working alongside experienced M&A, integration, and strategy professionals.
Operating in a dynamic, high-energy, and fast-paced healthcare environment, our team combines sharp commercial acumen and analytical rigor with a high-touch, relationship-first approach. We operate with high autonomy and cross-border collaboration, partnering closely with country management teams across brands like AniCura and Linnaeus to drive sustainable growth that supports high-quality patient care.
What we’re looking for
Mars Veterinary Health (MVH) Europe is a family of leading Veterinary care providers committed to creating A BETTER WORLD FOR PETS. Our network includes trusted brands such as AniCura and Linnaeus, operating over 680 animal hospitals and clinics across 19 European countries. Together, our teams deliver high-quality, modern Veterinary care ensuring peace of mind for pet owners through excellent access and patient safety. At MVH Europe, we prioritize a culture of accountability, inclusion, and wellbeing. We believe our purpose — to make A BETTER WORLD FOR PETS — starts with building a better world for our people. We support our teams through comprehensive wellbeing programmes, clear development and career paths and a shared passion for delivering exceptional outcomes in Veterinary care.
Mars is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. If you need assistance or an accommodation during the application process because of a disability, please speak to us. Mars is pleased to provide such assistance, and no applicant will be penalized as a result of such a request.

What you'll do
- Identify and approach acquisition targets, and build a pipeline in a market where most clinics are independently owned
- Build valuation models and investment cases, and present them to regional senior leadership
- Negotiate terms with clinic owners, in German, and lead due diligence with external advisors
- Work with finance, operations and integration teams so each deal delivers what the business case promised
- Support the team's wider European growth plans where experience in Poland is useful
- Travel regularly within Germany to visit clinics and meet owners in person, as most relationships and deals are built on site
