The Genetic Sciences Division (GSD) provides industry-leading genetic sciences tools and solutions to advance scientific discovery, enable customers in applied markets and improve global health outcomes. Specifically, GSD workflows enable biomarker discovery and analysis, predictive genomics, reproductive health solutions, pathogen detection, disease-specific solutions, forensics and human identification.

Location: Ideally based in the Munich area or southeastern Germany, with convenient access to a major airport or transportation hub.

As a Field Applications Scientist (m/f/d), you'll serve as a trusted technical advisor helping customers optimize their use of our advanced technologies across multiple scientific domains. Working closely with sales teams and cross-functional partners, you'll help customers achieve significant discoveries while building long-term relationships that drive business success. A Day in the Life:

You’ll deliver exceptional pre-sales and post-sales scientific support through product demonstrations, hands-on training, troubleshooting assistance, and technical consultation while developing strong relationships with customers and collaborating closely with sales and cross-functional teams.

What to expect:

• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical and scientific support to customers.
• Deliver product demonstrations and hands-on customer training.
• Provide technical consultation and troubleshooting assistance.
• Support customers with qPCR technologies and applications.
• Assist customers with data analysis, experimental design, and method development.
• Adapt technical support and communication to different customer profiles and requirements.
• Collaborate closely with sales teams and cross-functional partners to support customers and business objectives.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
• Travel regularly to support customers, with willingness to travel 50% or more.
  
  

Keys to Success:

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
• Additional relevant certifications are a plus.
  
  

Experience

• 2+ years of relevant hands-on laboratory experience.
• Hands-on experience with qPCR technologies and applications.
• Experience with dPCR technologies and applications is a plus.
• Experience in data analysis, experimental design, and method development.
• Experience in technical training, customer support, or troubleshooting is a plus; previous Field Applications Scientist experience is not required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant scientific software.

• Fluent German and professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Valid driver's license.
