Aufgaben
  • Deutschsprachiger Ansprechpartner des Kunden: Hotline, E-Mail und Tickets
  • 2nd- und 3rd-Level-Support zu Java-Laufzeitumgebungen unter Windows und Linux
  • Verantwortung für Störungen der Priorität 1 und 2 bis zur Lösung, innerhalb der vereinbarten Reaktions- und Wiederherstellungszeiten
  • Analyse von Log- und Konfigurationsdateien, die der Kunde bereitstellt (kein Fernzugriff auf Kundensysteme, kein Einsatz vor Ort)
  • Bewertung der vierteljährlichen Sicherheitsupdates und kritischer Sicherheitslücken; Information des Kunden
  • Freigabe neuer Pakete im Download-Portal nach Prüfsummen- und Malware-Prüfung
  • Pflege der Dokumentation auf Deutsch: Installationshinweise, Sicherheitsdokumentation, Change- und Testmanagement
  • Steuerung des Support-Teams in Hyderabad und Überwachung der Reaktions- und Wiederherstellungszeiten
Anforderungen
  • Mehrjährige Erfahrung mit Java/OpenJDK im Betrieb oder Support
  • Fehleranalyse der JVM: GC-Logs, Heap- und Thread-Dumps, Java Flight Recorder und Java Mission Control
  • Windows 11 und Windows Server 2022: MSI-Installation (auch unbeaufsichtigt), Softwareverteilung
  • Linux (Ubuntu, SLES): tar.gz- und RPM-Installation
  • TLS 1.2/1.3 und Zertifikate in Java
  • Von Vorteil: Java Access Bridge mit Screenreadern (JAWS, SuperNova, Dragon NaturallySpeaking)
  • Skripting: PowerShell, Bash oder Python
  • Arbeit mit Ticketsystemen und SLAs (ITIL-Kenntnisse von Vorteil)
  • Von Vorteil: Erfahrung mit Kunden des öffentlichen Sektors
  • Sorgfältige, verbindliche Kommunikation auf Deutsch, schriftlich und mündlich

Tasks
  • German-speaking contact for the client: hotline, email and tickets
  • 2nd- and 3rd-level support for Java runtimes on Windows and Linux
  • Own priority 1 and 2 incidents through to resolution, within the agreed response and restoration times
  • Analyse log and configuration files supplied by the client (no remote access to client systems, no on-site work)
  • Assess quarterly security updates and critical vulnerabilities; inform the client
  • Release new packages on the download portal after checksum and malware checks
  • Maintain documentation in German: installation guides, security documentation, change and test management
  • Manage the support team in Hyderabad and monitor response and restoration times
Requirements
  • Several years of experience with Java/OpenJDK in operations or support
  • JVM troubleshooting: GC logs, heap and thread dumps, Java Flight Recorder and Java Mission Control
  • Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022: MSI installation (including silent), software distribution
  • Linux (Ubuntu, SLES): tar.gz and RPM installation
  • TLS 1.2/1.3 and certificates in Java
  • A plus: Java Access Bridge with screen readers (JAWS, SuperNova, Dragon NaturallySpeaking)
  • Scripting: PowerShell, Bash or Python
  • Working with ticket systems and SLAs (ITIL knowledge a plus)
  • A plus: experience with public-sector clients
  • Careful, reliable communication in German, written and spoken
