Scope of duties
- An exciting, research-oriented work environment in the Immunopharmacology Research Group (led by Prof. Dr. Sebastian Kobold)
- Opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge and clinically relevant field of research
- Focus: Immunotherapy for cancer
- Participation in externally funded research projects
- Current research priorities in the field of cellular therapies
- Independent planning and execution of scientific experiments
- Regular processing and analysis of patient samples
- Organization and coordination of laboratory procedures
- Ordering and management of reagents and consumables
- Breeding and management of mouse strains
- Documentation and management of patient samples
- Methodological training and supervision of medical doctoral students
- Collaboration on the further development and optimization of established laboratory and research methods
- Methods used: Cell culture, molecular biology methods, microscopy, real-time PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry (FACS), animal experimentation with mice, in particular: genotyping, establishment and management of tumor models, isolation and processing of spleen and bone marrow cells
- Completed training as a BTA/MTLA/CTA/PTA or equivalent qualification.
- Willingness to perform animal experiments with mice
- Ideally, experience with molecular biology or immunology techniques.
- Ability to work independently, reliably, and meticulously, with a team-oriented approach.
- Very good command of German and English; the language of the lab is exclusively English
- An initial one-year fixed-term employment contract with the option of extension
