In this role you will get the chance to lead the design, enhancement and operationalisation of our fraud risk management framework. This is a hands-on leadership role with real scope to assess our current global framework, identify opportunities for improvement, and build a robust, data-led and operationally effective fraud strategy aligned to our risk appetite and business model. In this role you’ll be the senior fraud subject matter expert and will lead on embedding fraud considerations into product design, client oversight and operational processes and collaborate with teams across the bank (including technology) to strengthen prevention and detection of fraud.

We offer a hybrid work model for our employees to allow for flexibility and productivity. However, we do expect you to spend most of your time in the office to build community and efficiency in the team.

Exciting work is waiting for you

• Design and implement an enhanced fraud strategy aligned to Banking Circle’s risk appetite and correspondent banking model.
• Develop a scalable fraud risk management framework covering prevention, detection, response and recovery.
• Identify emerging fraud typologies across UK and European and other Global markets
• Partner with Data and Technology teams to improve analytics, detection strategies, monitoring controls, dashboards and MI.
• Strengthen end-to-end fraud case management, including triage, investigation, decisioning, recovery and reporting.
• Act as a senior fraud subject matter expert with internal stakeholders, clients, payment scheme participants and industry forums.

Things we’ll look for on your resume

You have 8+ years of experience in a similar role that has given you a deep understanding of payments, banking operations and emerging fraud patterns, as well as knowledge of relevant regulations gained across fraud risk management roles within banking, payments and financial crime compliance, ideally within a correspondent banking environment.

You have strong data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to transform complex datasets into actionable insights and intelligence, and experience in preparing and presenting management reports and fraud dashboards. Also, you have proven experience of designing, enhancing or implementing fraud frameworks, controls, governance and monitoring strategies is a must, and you should have the ability to engage senior stakeholders and external partners.
