About Our Client

Our client, a global company with a long-established presence across multiple international markets, offers a range of products for the OEM sector. The company is seeking for a entrepreneurial Head of Tax to strengthen and shape the European tax department within a corporate setting.

Job Description

• Lead tax accounting and global tax compliance, ensuring local and international regulations
• Shape and develop tax accounting department Europe
• Oversee annual and quarterly financial reporting (IFRS, HGB) and ensure accuracy in financial statements
• Monitor income tax calculations for budget and forecast purpose and oversee global income tax compliance
• Provide a global tax risk management to continuously develop a robust and sustainable framework for mitigating emerging risks
• Establish processes and policies for tax compliance, risk management and reporting
• Stay updated on tax laws and their implications for the organization and manage audits
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on tax-related matters
  
  

The Successful Applicant

• More than 8 years of experience in a multinational corporate or leading advisory firm.
• Strong technical expertise in corporate taxation, international tax frameworks, and tax reporting standards (IFRS, IAS 12, HGB)
• Proven leadership experience, including the management of teams, international and external stakeholders, or global tax functions
• Demonstrated success in building, transforming, or developing tax accounting organizations, governance structures, or operating models
• Strong track record in managing complex global tax compliance and reporting processes.
• Entrepreneurial mindset combined with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and contribute at executive decision-making level
• Experience with SAP and/or S/4HANA is a plus
• Fluent in English and German
