The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join our team as Associate Director of Medical Information supporting the European region. This role will play a critical role in advancing launch readiness in Europe, while supporting broader Medical Information needs across clinical-stage and commercial products in the region. The Associate Director will help ensure the delivery of timely, accurate, consistent, and evidence-based medical information to healthcare professionals (HCPs), patients, and caregivers.
As a key member of the Medical Affairs team, this individual will support the development and execution of Medical Information activities in preparation for future product launches in Europe, including the creation and localization of medical information content and scientific and operational support of European medical Information call center activities. The role will also provide Medical Information support at scientific congresses and collaborate cross-functionally to address regional needs related to clinical trials and pipeline assets. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with strong scientific background, demonstrated Medical Information expertise, and experience supporting the German market within a broader European environment. The successful candidate will be able to effectively manage multiple priorities collaborate across local, regional, and global teams in a dynamic environment. This role is based Germany and will report to the Director of Medical information, Europe.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develops, reviews and maintains Medical Information resources, including standard response documents (SRDs), custom response letters (CRLs), FAQs and inquiry response guidance documents to support accurate and timely responses to customers across Germany and the broader European region.
- Serves as a Medical Information subject matter expert for Germany and the broader European region, applying knowledge of German regulations, industry codes, and compliance requirements while supporting Medical Information activities across the European region.
- Ensures all Medical Information content is scientifically accurate, evidence-based, consistent with the latest clinical data, and compliant with applicable regulatory requirements, industry codes and medical information standards.
- Supports the management of unsolicited inquiries from healthcare professionals, patients and caregivers, ensuring responses are accurate, compliant and timely.
- Monitors and analyzes Medical Information inquiry trends and customer insights to identify emerging scientific information needs, inform content development, and recommend operational improvements.
- Provides Medical Information and scientific support related to companion diagnostics associated with therapeutic assets, ensuring aligned communication across relevant stakeholders.
- Supports Medical Information activities at European and international scientific congresses, including preparation of congress-specific Medical Information resources and staffing Medical Information booths. May support national congress activities based on business needs and functional remit.
- Partners with Medical Information vendor and call center team to support training and ensure the delivery of accurate, compliant, consistent and timely responses to customer inquiries, including appropriate handling of German-specific requirements.
- Contributes to the development, implementation, and maintenance of Medical Information SOPs, work instructions, and operational processes to support compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
- Tracks Medical Information activities and performance metrics and contributes to regular reporting of key trends, outcomes, and operational insights to Medical Information leadership and relevant stakeholders.
- Monitors relevant scientific publications and clinical trial data to inform Medical Information content and strategy.
- Provides Medical Information expertise and support for additional Medical Affairs initiatives and projects as needed.
- Advanced degree in a scientific or medical discipline; doctoral degree preferred (PharmD, MD, PhD).
- 8+ years of experience working in Medical Affairs, 5+ of which in Medical Information.
- Demonstrated experience supporting Medical Information activities in Germany, as well as experience operating within a European and/or Global Medical Information organization.
- In-depth knowledge of EU Medical Information principles and compliance requirements relevant to Medical Information activities.
- Experience supporting Medical Information activities across both local and regional environments.
- Experience in oncology therapeutic area; experience supporting launch readiness preferred.
- Proven experience in medical information, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with professional proficiency in both German and English.
- Experience creating, reviewing and managing scientific content for diverse audience.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with local, regional, and global cross-functional stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to exercise sound judgment, work with appropriate autonomy, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in medical information databases, content management systems and other relevant software tools.
- Experience with Veeva PromoMats advantageous.
- Experience in managing medical information vendors.
- Willingness to travel, approximately 10-20%.
