Tasks

Consulting on homologation

  • Consulting on homologation-related topics within projects
  • Defining the scope of homologation for contract vehicles in collaboration with the responsible systems engineer
  • Coordinating homologation tasks and presenting them to project committees

EU, UNECE, and national regulatory requirements

  • Preparing applications to regulatory authorities for approvals (new or amendments) for systems, components, and vehicles
  • Preparing and issuing documentation relevant to type approval (including description sheets, DOCs/certificates of conformity, etc.)
  • Planning of homologation tests in coordination with other departments and external service providers
  • Updating of type approval documents within Typmaster (for regulatory authorities and technical services)
  • Preparation of vehicle tests and assistance with the conduct of pre-tests

  • Proposals for optimizing homologation processes within RMMV

Requirements

  • A completed technical university or university of applied sciences degree, HTL, or equivalent training in mechanical engineering or automotive technology
  • Alternatively, a degree in law or business administration
  • At least 3 years of experience with a university or university of applied sciences degree
  • At least 5 years of experience with an HTL or equivalent training in mechanical engineering or automotive technologyBasic technical and business knowledge
  • Experience with:
  • UN-R155: CSMS, Cyber Security Management System
  • UN-R156: SUMS, Software Update Management System—desirable.
  • Strong technical interest in commercial vehicles
  • Knowledge of individual vehicle registration and/or homologation
  • Experience with EU regulations and directives
  • Project management experience is an advantage
  • Very good MS Office skills
  • Speaking German fluently
  • English: Proficient enough to communicate with technical services
  • Ability to achieve results independently in accordance with set goals
  • Ability to independently identify opportunities for improvement and develop practical solutions
  • Highest level of reliability and adherence to deadlines
  • Strong commitment to personal training and continuing education
  • Strong communication skills, including when dealing with government agencies and technical services
  • Strong service orientation
  • Experience in presentations and facilitation
