What this role is about

As a Solutions Architect, you will design and build Java-based cloud solutions for Germany’s largest loyalty program. You will analyze business and technical requirements, create robust solution designs, and translate complex technical challenges into scalable, maintainable, and easy-to-understand solutions.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

• Develop Java-based software solutions in the cloud (AWS)
• Create solution designs based on business requirements, technical specifications, or incident analyses
• Communicate solution concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Implement and maintain automated tests to ensure software quality and reliability
• Document architectural decisions, designs, and implementation approaches
• Collaborate closely with business teams and cross-functional stakeholders to enable fast and smooth delivery of solutions into production environments

This role is a great fit for you if you…

• have at least 7 years of professional experience in backend software development
• have spent at least 5 years working on large-scale projects with complex codebases, using Java or a comparable programming language
• possess a strong architectural mindset and can translate requirements into robust, scalable solution designs
• bring several years of hands-on experience with AWS or another leading cloud platform
• are passionate about getting your code into production quickly and take ownership beyond coding and testing by collaborating with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• proactively drive projects forward, keep goals in focus, and embrace new challenges
• communicate clearly, effectively, and proactively
• are motivated to understand the customer domain in depth to deliver the best possible solutions
• regularly write automated tests and understand the importance of test coverage in a continuous delivery environment
• enjoy working in an agile setup and collaborating with a highly professional engineering team
