Technical Program Manager, AI Systems - #2672410

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in Technical Program/Product Management or Engineering Management, with 2 years of experience in AI/ML projects.
• 3 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 2 years of experience leading software development and AI powered feature development or model improvement with distributed teams, managing execution across different locations and time zones.
• Experience with data analysis and data tools (e.g., SQL, MySQL, Tableau, etc.).
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
• Experience with leading large scale technical projects or working with engineering teams.
• Comfortable working with tools like Figma, Sheets, Slides, Docs, and other relevant productivity and collaboration platforms.
• Ability to collaborate with executive internal stakeholders on high visibility projects across different functions and geographies to manage change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to exercise technical judgment in solving software engineering challenges.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

• Drive complex, cross-functional programs to scale our core developer systems and resolve bottlenecks created by the rapid adoption of AI-powered tooling.
• Manage the lifecycle of high-visibility AI developer products, coordinating across multiple workstreams to ensure they meet Google's standards for quality, reliability, and usability.
• Identify and resolve complex inter-team challenges, navigating strategic dependencies, product overlaps, and engaged dynamics to ensure a cohesive direction.
• Partner with engineering leads to drive architectural alignment across multiple complex services and platforms, reducing technical debt and improving interoperability.
• Help shape and execute an ambitious, long-term AI strategy for foundational developer tools, responding to user needs and executive goal.
