Tasks
Review and evaluation of load assumptions for wind turbines (onshore and offshore) according to international standards using independent aeroelastic comparative calculations
Evaluation of maritime environmental conditions and calculations for fixed and floating offshore structures
Documentation of evaluation results and preparation of evaluation reports / expert’s opinions
Direct collaboration with customer specialists in national and international projects
Representation of TÜV SÜD externally at trade fairs as well as in standards committees and working groups
Independent improvement and further development of the simulation environment
Qualifications
Completed engineering degree (Master’s or Diploma), preferably in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, or a comparable field
Relevant professional experience in load calculations for onshore and offshore wind energy systems
Practical experience in aeroelastic simulation using industry-standard software such as Bladed, FAST, HAWC2, or Flex5
Familiarity with relevant onshore and offshore certification guidelines
Customer-oriented working style, strong communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to assert technical viewpoints in discussions with national and international clients
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken, with strong negotiation skills
