Private Credit & Bank Solutions - Director (m/w/d) - #2638477

An international financial institution is expanding its institutional credit solutions platform and is seeking a senior professional to drive growth across lending partnerships and balance sheet risk transfer.

This role sits at the intersection of origination, structuring, and client coverage, with a focus on commercial and residential real estate portfolios across global banking clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate and develop relationships with regional and global financial institutions, engaging directly with senior decision-makers (CROs, Heads of Credit, Treasury)
• Structure and underwrite credit risk transactions, including single exposures and portfolio deals, with a focus on real estate lending
• Lead execution of risk transfer solutions, including participations, guarantees, and structured credit arrangements
• Assess counterparty banks’ credit frameworks, underwriting standards, and portfolio quality
• Negotiate transaction terms and documentation in collaboration with internal legal and risk teams
• Work closely with risk, structuring, and finance functions to ensure disciplined and compliant deal execution
• Monitor portfolio performance, market developments, and regulatory changes impacting credit and capital
• Act as a subject matter expert in real estate credit, supporting broader platform development and strategy

Profile

• 10+ years’ experience within banking, credit investing, or structured finance
• Deep expertise in commercial real estate lending and/or structured credit
• Proven track record in originating and executing institutional credit transactions
• Strong experience managing financial institution client relationships
• Solid understanding of credit risk, balance sheet management, and regulatory frameworks (e.g. Basel)
• Ability to operate independently in a front-office, deal-driven environment
• Excellent analytical, structuring, and communication skills
• Fluency in English required; additional European languages are advantageous
