The Mission

  • The Situation: Malt is redefining the Future of Work, connecting over 1,000,000 top-tier freelancers with 100,000+ companies. In the DACH region, our Account Management team has successfully built the macro-frameworks and relationships with Enterprise and SMB Managed accounts. However, a framework is useless without execution. We need an operational powerhouse on the frontline to pro-actively drive delivery, adoption, and revenue
  • The Task: You are joining us to operate as an elite "internal specialized recruiter and consultant" for freelance talent. This is not a passive matchmaking role. You are architecting the ultimate user experience, stepping in with technical authority to challenge client briefs, push product innovation, and take definitive ownership of project delivery across the DACH market. You are one of the central forces of our commercial success


Key Responsibilities

Pillar 1: Strategic Matchmaking & Client Enablement

  • Action: Challenge and refine the project briefs expressed by clients, while conducting rigorous qualification interviews to identify absolute best-fit profiles
  • Output: Compelling business proposals and the empowerment of clients to utilize the Malt platform completely independently
  • Metrics of Performance: Match speed and conversion rates (project closings)

Pillar 2: Deal Execution & Revenue Orchestration

  • Action: Collaborate hand-in-hand with Key Account Managers to execute the critical recruitment phase, acting as the frontline engine that actually secures the budget
  • Output: Successfully closed project opportunities driving seamless delivery across both Enterprise and SMB verticals
  • Metrics of Performance: Total Revenue Signed and positive internal feedback loops from the AM team

Pillar 3: AI Product Innovation & Freelancer Coaching

  • Action: Coach elite freelancers on Malt's matching algorithm to build powerful profiles, while simultaneously channeling critical, frontline AI/product feedback directly to our engineering teams
  • Output: A high-level, continuously optimizing user experience for both sides of the marketplace
  • Metrics of Performance: Client Trust Level


Requirements & The Skills Matrix

Proven Mastery:

  • 3+ years of quantifiable impact in sales, recruitment, customer success, or project management within a fast-growing B2B environment (e.g., SaaS start-up or consulting agency)
  • Demonstrated high resilience, remaining highly driven, organized, and efficient while juggling multiple requirements during intense peak workload phases
  • Native-level German and full fluency in English

Skills You Will Deploy & Develop:

  • Mastery of complex algorithmic matching and platform AI adoption within the Future of Work ecosystem
  • Sophisticated multi-stakeholder orchestration—balancing the competing demands of enterprise clients, high-value freelancers, and internal commercial teams

  • You have incredible service mentality and remain unflappable when managing a high volume of moving pieces simultaneously

This role is NOT for you if:

  • You are an overly ambitious "lone wolf" or operate with an "I am King" alpha mentality. We deliberately steer clear of this; our ecosystem requires intense, low-ego collaboration
  • You lack the resilience to navigate rapid changes in work volume or crumble under the pressure of peak execution phases
  • You struggle to articulate arguments clearly or maintain a strong, commanding posture with clients


30-60-90 Day Impact Plan

  • Day 30: Execute structured onboarding in Paris and integrate with your internal buddy. Establish a 1:1 weekly cadence with Kristin (Head of Project Partnering DACH) to master Malt's matching mechanics and take on your first small daily operations
  • Day 60: Transition entirely into autonomous execution. Output: Conduct your first independent qualification interviews and successfully deliver compelling business proposals to live clients
  • Day 90: The guaranteed bonus period ends, and you take full ownership of your pipeline. Metric of Performance: Drive measurable impact on match speed, conversion rates, and total Revenue Signed


How to join the mission?

  • First call with Niko (Talent Acquisition Partner) to better understand your background, aspirations and answer any questions you may have. (45 minutes)
  • Interview with Kristin (Head of Project Partnering DACH), the hiring manager, to discuss your experience and how it would align with this role. (60 minutes)
  • Role Play Interview with Nicolas (VP Project Partnering) and Kristin in order to assess your technical skills (60 minutes) in the Berlin office + optional Meet the team (30 minutes)
  • Raise The Bar Interview with Perrine, our COO
