Field Service Technician (Explosion Protection Systems) – DACH Region

Are you a hands-on technician who enjoys working independently, travelling extensively, and solving technical challenges on-site?

We're working with a global industrial safety technology company that designs and services advanced explosion protection and fire safety systems for industrial facilities across Europe.

Location

Germany (ideally Southern Germany, close to the Austrian border)

The Role

As a Field Service Technician, you'll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of specialised industrial safety systems across the DACH region.

Key Responsibilities

• Commissioning, servicing, and repairing explosion protection systems
• Supporting customers across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
• Acting as the on-site technical contact for customers
• Planning and coordinating service visits independently
• Completing service documentation and reporting from your home office
• Travelling extensively throughout the DACH region (80–90% travel)

What We're Looking For

• Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
• Practical experience in a service, maintenance, installation, or field engineering role
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Full Class B driving licence
• Excellent German language skills and good English for internal communication
• Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently
• Early-career technicians with relevant hands-on experience are encouraged to apply
