Principal — Venture Capital (AI & Data)

I'm working with a well-backed European investment firm building out its technology investing activity, with a focus on AI and data infrastructure. They're looking for a Principal to take a leading role in sourcing and executing investments and in shaping the thesis going forward.

Responsibilities

• Originate and source investment opportunities across GenAI, AI/LLM infrastructure, and data platforms
• Lead due diligence and execution end to end, from first meeting through close
• Build and maintain relationships with founders, co-investors, and the wider ecosystem
• Work with portfolio companies post-investment on strategy, scaling, and key hires
• Help shape investment strategy and sector focus across AI and data

Requirements

• Several years in venture capital or growth investing, ideally at Principal level; strong Senior Associates ready to step up will be considered
• A track record of both sourcing and executing deals, not one or the other
• Genuine sector knowledge in GenAI, AI infrastructure, and/or data platforms
• A blend of investing and hands-on operating or startup experience is a strong plus
• Established network across the European tech ecosystem
• German language is mandatory
