Job Title: Senior Consultant – BMC Digital Business Automation (Control-M)

Job Summary

The Senior Consultant is a key delivery role responsible for implementing and supporting BMC Control-M and Control-M SaaS solutions for enterprise customers. This role focuses on hands-on solution delivery, configuration, and technical execution across the project lifecycle.

The Senior Consultant works closely with Project Architects, Project Managers, and customer stakeholders to ensure solutions are successfully deployed, meet business requirements, and operate effectively in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and support Control-M and Control-M SaaS solutions in customer environments
• Translate business and technical requirements into efficient and scalable solution configurations
• Support full delivery lifecycle activities including build, test, deployment, and stabilization
• Execute migration and conversion activities from legacy or competitor schedulers (e.g., CA7, Autosys, IBM, Tidal, Redwood)
• Develop and deploy Python and Shell scripts to automate the bulk migration/conversion into destination-compatible formats.
• Integrate Control-M with enterprise systems, applications, and third-party tools
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, data discrepancies, and connectivity blocks during implementation and deployment
• Collaborating with Project Architects and Project Managers to ensure alignment with solution design and project timelines
• Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and support to ensure successful customer adoption
• Participate in project status updates, risk identification, and issue resolution
• Contribute to best practices, reusable assets, and continuous improvement of delivery processes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of experience in enterprise workload automation and solution implementation
• Strong hands-on expertise in BMC Control-M and Control-M SaaS
• Experience performing migration and conversion projects from enterprise schedulers
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments across distributed systems (Linux/Windows), and cloud platforms
• Ability to translate technical requirements into implemented solutions
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills

Technical Skills

• Programming/Scripting: Proficient in Python and/or Shell (Bash/PowerShell) is required; experience with Java and/or Perl is a plus
• Operating Systems: Linux/Unix, Windows Server, Mainframe (Good to have)
• Databases: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL Server
• Integration Frameworks: REST APIs, the Control-M Automation API, JSON & XML based configurations, automation tools, and enterprise system integrations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Control-M SaaS migrations and cloud-based architecture
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Understanding of Mainframe (z/OS)
• Exposure to DevOps methodologies, including version control (Git/GitHub), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of AI/ML models, intelligent automation, or AIOps concepts
• Experience working on multiple concurrent projects
• BMC Control-M and Control-M SaaS certification
