Location: Munich

Our client is seeking a Head of Finance to lead financial operations, reporting, and governance across a multi-entity organisation, ensuring robust controls, scalability, and regulatory compliance. This role partners closely with senior leadership to drive strategic decision-making while building high-performing teams and efficient, future-ready finance processes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead finance and governance across all entities.
• Deliver accurate statutory and management reporting; ensure audit readiness.
• Implement and maintain internal controls in line with German regulations.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Support investment decisions, business cases, and capital allocation.
• Partner with senior leadership and CFO as a trusted advisor.
• Oversee end-to-end accounting, including close, tax, and audits.
• Build and scale transactional finance (AP/AR) and core processes.
• Ensure efficient systems, data integrity, and scalable reporting.
• Hire, lead, and develop finance teams.
• Define KPIs, roles, and operating standards.
• Drive automation and continuous process improvement.

Profile:

• Extensive experience in senior finance roles within complex organisations.
• Strong expertise in accounting, financial control, and statutory reporting.
• Leadership experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, or Commercial Finance.
• Experience in capital-intensive or operational sectors is advantageous.
• Proven ability to scale finance functions in high-growth environments.
• Hands-on, structured, and results-oriented.
• Able to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
• Decisive and resilient in fast-paced settings.
• Clear and confident communicator with senior stakeholders.
