System Integration Engineer (Manipulation Hardware) - #2634743
Cubiq Recruitment
System Integration Engineer (Manipulation Hardware)
Munich, Germany
We’re hiring into a stealth robotics company building one of Europe’s most advanced humanoid manipulation platforms.
This is a rare opportunity to join a team taking cutting-edge robotics from development into real-world deployment at scale, solving complex integration challenges across mechanical, electrical, control systems, and software.
We’re looking for a hands-on systems engineer who is equally comfortable in hardware integration and writing production-level C++ / Python code to make advanced manipulation systems work reliably in real-world environments.
The Role
You will be responsible for integrating dexterous manipulation hardware and end-effectors into a full robotic platform, working across mechanical, electrical, control, and software interfaces.
You will act as the technical bridge between external vendors and internal engineering teams, ensuring seamless system integration into our core architecture.
What You’ll Do
- Lead mechanical and electrical integration of robotic manipulation hardware
- Design mounting solutions, interface electronics, and communication layers
- Develop software in C++ and/or Python to support hardware integration, drivers, and system control layers
- Build and run validation and test procedures for performance and reliability
- Build test rigs and benchmarking setups for real-world evaluation
- Integrate third-party hardware (robotic hands, end-effectors, actuators) into the platform
- Work with vendors on firmware compatibility, requirements, and customisation
- Support integration across mechanical, electrical, control, and software systems
- Translate real-world findings into requirements for future hardware design
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in robotics hardware, mechatronics, or system integration
- Strong mechanical and electrical integration experience
- Strong proficiency in C++ and/or Python (used in real systems, not just scripting)
- Experience with real-time or embedded systems
- Familiarity with interfaces such as CAN, EtherCAT, or similar
- Experience building test rigs, validation systems, or hardware benchmarking setups
- Comfortable working across hardware, electronics, control systems, and software boundaries
Strong Plus
- Experience with robotic manipulation systems or industrial automation
- Exposure to deployed systems in real-world environments
- Experience working with external hardware vendors
- Background in robotics, controls, or electromechanical systems
- Experience writing low-level drivers, control software, or hardware abstraction layers
Why This Role
- Join a stealth robotics company building Europe’s next major humanoid platform
- Work on systems that move from development into real-world deployment
- Own complex integration challenges across hardware, control, and software domains
- Influence both current architecture and future hardware direction
This is a role for engineers who can operate across the full stack of physical systems, from hardware integration and control behaviour through to the C++ / Python code that makes it all work reliably in the real world.
