The Opportunity
A leading global life sciences organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Sales - Diagnostics (Europe) to drive commercial strategy, accelerate revenue growth, and lead high-performing regional sales teams. This is a critical leadership role with full ownership of European sales performance across a growing diagnostics portfolio.

The Role
Reporting to the Global Commercial Director, you will define and execute the European sales strategy, build and mentor a strong team, and strengthen key customer relationships across clinical, research, and healthcare markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a high-impact European sales strategy aligned with global objectives
  • Lead, coach, and grow a multi-country sales team, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Drive revenue growth, market share expansion, and customer acquisition across diagnostics products
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key accounts, KOLs, and distributors
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform strategy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and senior leadership teams
  • Manage forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline performance across the region
  • Represent the business at industry events and key client meetings (c. 20% travel)

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • 8+ years' experience in life sciences / diagnostics commercial roles
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth across European markets
  • Strong team leadership and management experience
  • Experience managing complex, multi-country sales operations
  • Excellent strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed international environment
