The Opportunity
A leading global life sciences organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Sales - Diagnostics (Europe) to drive commercial strategy, accelerate revenue growth, and lead high-performing regional sales teams. This is a critical leadership role with full ownership of European sales performance across a growing diagnostics portfolio.
The Role
Reporting to the Global Commercial Director, you will define and execute the European sales strategy, build and mentor a strong team, and strengthen key customer relationships across clinical, research, and healthcare markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a high-impact European sales strategy aligned with global objectives
- Lead, coach, and grow a multi-country sales team, fostering a high-performance culture
- Drive revenue growth, market share expansion, and customer acquisition across diagnostics products
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key accounts, KOLs, and distributors
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform strategy
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and senior leadership teams
- Manage forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline performance across the region
- Represent the business at industry events and key client meetings (c. 20% travel)
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
- 8+ years' experience in life sciences / diagnostics commercial roles
- Proven track record of driving sales growth across European markets
- Strong team leadership and management experience
- Experience managing complex, multi-country sales operations
- Excellent strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed international environment
