Join a team dedicated to extending credit products to existing and potential clients of State Street. Your work will contribute to maintaining and growing our relationships – the heart and soul of State Street’s strategy.
The Global Credit Finance (GCF) division is made up of approximately 150 employees in various locations across the globe. It provides a range of credit lending products to potential and existing clients of State Street. The business extends credit to clients from a wide range of products and industries including Fund Finance, Commercial Real Estate, Leveraged Loans, Municipal Finance and Stable Value Wrap.
An incoming AVP on the team should possess a positive attitude and strong credit and analytical skills. The successful candidate will have an ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders to work on participations in syndicated, bilateral or agented credit facilities.

Major Responsibilities
- Review and preparation of written credit analyses (CAR/CAP), reports and summaries and opinions for credit approval ensuring smooth and timely processing of assigned credit requests.
- Provide effective credit portfolio oversight and management reporting.
- Involvement with the EMEA ERM Credit Approvers to ensure successful outcome on credit requests and credit administration.
- Communicate effectively on specific business initiatives and transactions.
- Assist with the management of a portfolio of credit facilities, including regular monthly and quarterly reviews to track financial performance, collateral and covenant compliance escalating any breaches or concerns.
- Assist with structuring, underwriting, negotiating and managing credit facilities for new business and renewals of existing credits.
- Work closely with the MD and VPs in loan structuring, decision making processes and loan/LC legal documentation.
- Attend due diligence client meetings and assist with the maintenance of client credit relationships.
- Collaborate with GCF Loan Operations and GCF Middle Office on various issues.
- Assist with the management of Agent Bank relationships in the European Loan Markets.
Education And Experience
- Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Maths; MBA or CFA a plus but not required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of Credit/Fund Finance lending experience.
- Credit Training a plus.
- Experience in Credit and Fund Finance work.
- Strong financial analysis, analytical, credit underwriting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to produce detailed and concise risk analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and ability to present and explain complex transactions.
- A positive attitude, a client service mindset and high level of attention to detail.
- Strong excel skills.
