About the role
As a Robotics Software Engineer (m/f/d) at Agile Robots, you will be an integral part of a highly skilled and multi-cultural team. We build powerful software frameworks to orchestrate complex robotic systems and solve challenging tasks. The solutions are sold to various international customers to enable them to control their robotic work cells. Smooth integration and scalable deployment are key goals.
Your Responsibilities
- Work on-site at our headquarters in Munich to develop and maintain our robot programming platform
- Collaborate with a large product team to enhance and expand the runtime system
- Contribute to a scalable and maintainable codebase in modern C++, strengthening the core foundation of our software
- Integrate new hardware into our robots, contributing to the ongoing evolution of our technology
- Face typical robotic challenges like computer vision tasks and motion planning
Essential Skills
- 2+ years full-time industry experience in C++ development
- Experience in developing (mobile) robotic algorithms
- Experience in developing perception or computer vision solutions
- Experience in developing hardware drivers
- Proven track record of working on large C++ projects, system design, and software architecture
- Familiarity with version control systems, collaborative development tools, and agile software development practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Based in Munich or open to relocation
Beneficial Skills
- Professional experience in the domain of automation systems and robotics
- DevOps experience, GitLab CI/CD, CMake, Conan
- Knowledge about industrial communication protocols and specifications (Modbus, RS-485, TCP/IP, EtherCAT, OPC-UA, Profibus, CAN)
- Proficiency in German or Chinese
- Willingness to travel and support project deployments onsite
