Forward Deployed Engineer (m/f/d) - #2222273

We’re looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) — a unique hybrid of a software engineer and a client-facing problem solver. In this role, you’ll collaborate directly with customers to tackle complex, real-world challenges using our core technology platforms. You’ll be building solutions that matter, often embedded on-site with our clients, and working across mission-critical industries such as defense, security and healthcare.

What You'll Do:

Technical Engineering

• Write and deploy production-grade code in languages like Python, Golang, or others.
• Build tools, data pipelines, and custom AI testing modules using our core platform.
• Develop and adapt software solutions to meet client-specific needs.

Client Collaboration

• Work closely with client teams, sometimes on-site or in the field.
• Translate technical capabilities into practical workflows for end users.
• Serve as a technical advisor, trainer, and implementation partner to the client.

Real-World Problem Solving

• Partner with stakeholders to understand complex, domain-specific issues.
• Map those problems into actionable engineering tasks.
• Iterate quickly to deliver impactful, data-driven solutions.

Deployment & Impact

• Be “forward deployed” — travel to where your expertise is most needed.
• Support clients in dynamic and mission-critical environments.
• Stay for short-term or long-term engagements, depending on the project.

A Typical Day Might Include

• Developing a custom AI testing module for a given operational domain.
• Meeting with the client’s data scientist team to understand their pain points.
• Triaging bugs and coordinating with the platform team to push a fix.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience with modern tech stacks.
• Bonus: AI data science fundamentals and business acumen.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, especially in ambiguous or fast-changing contexts.
• Clear communication and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Comfort with travel and working in unique or high-impact environments.
• Bonus: Prior experience in data-intensive industries or mission-critical sectors.
