The Power Conversion Technology Laboratory within the Huawei’s Nuremberg Research Center is responsible for Advanced Digital Power Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning, and plays an important role in the Huawei Digital Power business in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage Field, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle, and Embedded Power Supply.

Senior Engineer Power Electronics on Testing and Maintenance (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for identifying and solving market technical issues related to data center power supply, EV charging, and telecom power supply products. Deeply explore customer pain points and propose product improvement key points.
• Lead the maintenance of products and on-site emergency responses.
• Lead the resolution of major market issues, ensure the delivery of major projects, and conduct health checks and lifecycle management of existing products.
• Witness test for customer. Formulate a test plan, write a test proposal, set up a test platform, complete the design of test cases, execute the tests, and analyse the test results.
  
  

Requirements

• You hold a Bachelor or Master degree in power electronics / electrical, electronic engineering (or similar) field
• Extensive experience in development or Maintenance in UPS, EV charging or telecom power domain
• Be familiar with one or more quality methods, such as 8D, 5Why, QCC, and 6sigma
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Have a strong sense of responsibility and desire for knowledge, and be able to improve products and processes by summarizing
• Fluent in English written and spoken and ready for occasional business travels related to ongoing projects
