About The Role
The AI Team at Agile Robots is looking for a dedicated (Senior) Robotics Engineer (m/f/d) with experience in teleoperating robots. You have min. 2 years of experience in the field, showing proficiency in working with robotic hardware in the context of robotic teaching. This position is at the intersection between AI and robotics with a focus on enabling high-quality training data collection for AI-based robot learning. Prior hands-on experience in these areas would be a significant plus.

The AI Team at Agile Robots is looking for a dedicated (Senior) Robotics Engineer (m/f/d) with experience in teleoperating robots. You have min. 2 years of experience in the field, showing proficiency in working with robotic hardware in the context of robotic teaching. This position is at the intersection between AI and robotics with a focus on enabling high-quality training data collection for AI-based robot learning. Prior hands-on experience in these areas would be a significant plus.
Your Responsibilities
- Development and improvement of robot teaching methods for large-scale data collection
- Integration of different teleoperation devices to create robot learning data
- Assessment of different augmentation modalities to improve robotic teaching, e.g. force-feedback, haptic information or other sensory information
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment to prototype, iterate, and deploy robotic solutions for real-world applications.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
- Master's degree in computer science, automation, robotics, AI, or a related field.
- Experience in different direct or indirect robot teaching methods using teleoperation or human demonstration
- Knowledge in retargeting techniques to deal with different embodiments
- Familiar with ROS2 and software development for robotics
- Solid understanding of CV, with specialization in DL-based CV as a plus.
- Familiar with C++ or Python
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
- Solid understanding of communication protocols
- Experience in working with AI models used in robotics, e.g. diffusion, Octo, ACT
- Experience with TorchServe and/or TensorFlow Extended (Serving).
- Knowledge in using VR/AR components as well familiar with Unity
- Familiar with dockerisation, CI/CD
- Published in eminent scientific publications in the areas of Robotics, ML, CV, etc.
