Viessmann Generations Group

The Viessmann Generations Group is a global independent family company founded in 1917 driven by one purpose: "Co-creating living spaces for generations to come." The 4th generation of the Viessmann family continues to lead the business, with Maximilian Viessmann serving as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors — carrying forward the legacy of Johann, Hans, and Martin Viessmann.

The Viessmann Generations Group operates with a long-term investment approach, focusing on co-investments, acquisitions, and minority stakes in the areas of climate, water and food. As of today, the Viessmann Generations Group is supporting 30+ mid-sized companies and family businesses that are aligned with its purpose and based mostly in Europe and North-America.

The values of the Viessmann Generations Group have guided the organization for over a century:

  • Responsible – We are reliable, success-oriented, and committed to sustainable business practices.
  • Team-Oriented – We act fairly, transparently, and with agility, focusing on solutions.
  • Entrepreneurial – We are customer-focused, innovative, and technology-driven in our decision-making.

The Opportunity

Operational excellence is key to enabling growth and value creation within our portfolio companies. As Value Creation Manager – ERP & Process Excellence, you will act as a trusted advisor to our portfolio’s leadership teams — helping them modernize core processes, harmonize enterprise systems, and use ERP solutions as a lever for strategic growth.

This is a newly created role which works closely with our investment and leadership teams to enable scalable growth. You’ll lead and support high-impact transformation projects directly in our portfolio — combining strategic insight with hands-on execution.

You will:

  • Drive ERP-driven transformation programs, ensuring system implementations are aligned with business strategy.
  • Identify, plan, and implement cross-functional process excellence initiatives across our portfolio companies.
  • Support tech-enabled scaling by improving transactional processes and data infrastructure.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing across the portfolio, building benchmarks and capturing best practices that raise operational maturity for all.

What Your Day Looks Like

Imagine a day where you're not just optimizing internal workflows — but helping a portfolio of industrial champions prepare for the next stage of growth. In this role, you will:

  • Transform Systems into Enablers of Scale – Lead and support ERP rollouts or re-designs (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) and ensure end-to-end process integration across functions.
  • Improve Operational Performance – Analyze core operational KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and co-create solutions that deliver measurable business value.
  • Enable Data-Driven Decision Making – Establish and refine data structures and reporting mechanisms that enhance transparency and accountability.
  • Partner with Portfolio Leaders – Work directly with C-level and process owners across companies to diagnose challenges, build trust, and accelerate transformation.
  • Create a Shared Playbook – Capture best practices, frameworks, and vendor knowledge to support future projects across our growing ecosystem.

Your work won’t be limited to a single business — it will shape how multiple companies scale smarter, digitalize faster, and unlock long-term value.

Your Profile

  • A degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven professional experience in end-to-end ERP implementation (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics) and project management – ideally in a transformation, consulting, or operational excellence context in a dynamic, mid-sized environment.
  • Comfortable engaging with and consulting senior stakeholders and acting as a thought partner to leadership.
  • Strong, hands-on experience in analyzing and improving business processes across Finance, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing.
  • A pragmatic, structured, and collaborative approach, with the ability to drive initiatives independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and German – both written and verbal.
