Description
Our mission is to be the trusted advisors and thought leaders who enable Public Sector customers to succeed in their missions. We earn trust by listening to our customers, prioritising their needs, and delivering value so they can make well-informed decisions and create a better world.
Do you like helping customers implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems? Would you like to do this using the latest cloud computing technologies? Do you have a knack for helping groups understand application architectures and integration approaches, and the consultative and leadership skills to launch a project on a trajectory to success?
Are you familiar with security best practices for applications, servers, and networks? Do you want to be part of the business development team helping to establish Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a leading technology platform? Would you like to be part of a sales group, but have your opinion valued as a technical resource as part of planning and strategies?
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect with a focus on our Public Sector customers to join our thriving technical community and growing business in Germany as part of the Germany Public Sector team. You will join a friendly and supportive team, working together to bring the latest in cloud computing technologies to our customers, including: government agencies, state-owned companies, educational institutions, healthcare and non-profit organisations. Our Public Sector teams help customers build a deeper understanding of cloud technology and application architectures, so they can benefit from everything cloud technology has to offer.
Key job responsibilities
As AWS Solutions Architect, you will have ownership of the technical relationship with customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, operational efficiency and best-practice architectures.
Internally, you will be an advocate acting on behalf of the customer to help drive continual improvements to AWS services, sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS features and services. You will also help shape the future of the Solutions Architecture organisation by helping to hire, coach and mentor others, and find opportunities to improve the way we work.
In this role, your creativity will link technology to tangible solutions, with the opportunity to define and invent cloud-native reference architectures with the worldwide AWS Solutions Architect community.
You will own or participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelise and educate about AWS technology (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences).
If you can educate AWS customers about the art of the possible, while imagining the impossible, come build the future with us.
Please Apply If You Are Passionate About The Following
Every day as a Solutions Architect is different. One day you could be building a Proof-of-Concept to show a customer the art of the possible, the next you could be writing content that helps our customers accelerate, the next coaching others on a technology you have expertise in. It's a truly varied role, that allows you to play to your strengths.
