Your Role
As the HR Lead Germany, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our HR strategy in Germany. You will work closely with senior leadership and various departments to ensure that our HR practices align with our values, business goals and support our employees' growth and development. You will be a member of the German Leadership team and report into the People Director for Europe. While you won't have direct reports, you'll be a valued member of the European HR team, collaborating closely to achieve our shared goals. We are reshaping our HR organization, and you will be an integral part of that journey.

Your Role

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Leadership: Implement HR strategies that align with the company's values and drive business success.
- Advocate local HR topics: Collaborate effectively with global HR Expertise Centres and a centralized HR Shared Service Centre and ensure execution of local HR processes.
- Talent Management: Identify and address current and future workforce needs by overseeing talent development, and retention initiatives.
- Employee Relations: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by addressing employee concerns and promoting open communication.
- Performance Management: Implement performance management processes that support employee development and organizational growth.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices.
- Collaboration: Partner with department heads and senior leadership to provide HR insights and support for strategic decision-making.
- HR Projects: Lead and participate in HR projects and initiatives on European and global level that drive organizational effectiveness and employee engagement across Hiscox.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of HR experience in an international matrix organization.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or HR certification is a plus.
- Skills: Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of German labor laws and HR best practices.
- Language: Fluency in German and English is required.
