Position:Senior Software Developer for fire alarm systems

Tasks

• Designing and coding the software for embedded edge devices in complex fire alarm systems. This includes in particular signal processing and algorithms for the detection of fire parameters, but also the protocols for data exchange with the fire alarm control panel;
• Developing solutions from specification, design and implementation through to testing (integration and unit tests) in close collaboration with software architects and other project participants;
• Ensuring the functionality of the products through model-based methods, simulations and hardware-related tests (test-driven development, on-chip debugging, googletest, Python3, ...);
  
  

Requirements

• Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, communications engineering or similar;
• Very good knowledge of embedded software development and experience with modern embedded C++ programming (5-10 years). Experience in programming on ARM processors (Cortex-M4) and ideally on STM32L4xxx;
• Experience in using tools for daily software development (Enterprise Architect, Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps, ...);
• Analytical skills and a good understanding of cross-system interrelationships as well as a high quality standard;
• Very good knowledge of English and German required, as the development teams work at locations in Germany and Portugal;
