Your role
Join our dynamic and expanding global Content Operations team at ZEISS Meditec AG, where you will play a pivotal role in driving digitalization in healthcare. As Translation Management Lead (f/m/x), you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions for medical professionals and support our internal teams by delivering high-quality, consistent translations of technical product information, including user interfaces and user documentation.
You will collaborate within an interdisciplinary team in an international setting, working closely with technical content developers, project and product managers, software developers, UX designers, terminologists, and external translation partners. Your goal will be to ensure the most consistent translations, supporting an exceptional user experience for our customers, while applying innovative and efficient data-based processes.
In this role, you will actively develop and implement state-of-the-art processes, workflows, and tools for translating our user interface content and technical documentation. You will oversee translation projects in over 40 target languages, managing everything from the planning stage to final release, while ensuring quality, resource allocation, and adherence to timelines and guidelines.
Based in our Munich office, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Alps and the vibrant energy of our incredible team. Additionally, you will have the flexibility to work remotely on a regular basis.

Your profile
- Experience: A minimum of five years in a relevant role focused on translation management, localization management, or similar, ideally within the medical technology sector
- Process Development: A passion for developing and implementing improvements in translation management processes, with a keen eye for the big picture and a commitment to content consistency and efficiency
- Technology Enthusiasm: A strong interest in technology and experience with data-driven automation in translation management
- Agile Methodologies: Proven experience working with development teams and familiarity with agile methodologies
- Translation Expertise: Methodological competence in translation and translation management of user interfaces and user documentation
- Tools Proficiency: Experience with translation management systems and linguistic tools such as memoQ, xBench, Passolo, Quickterm, Across, and MultiTerm
- Terminology and Language Data Management: Knowledge and experience in terminology and language data management
- Communication Skills: Strong team spirit and excellent communication skills in both German and English
- Educational Background: A degree focused on translation, localization, technical writing, computational linguistics, language technology, or equivalent professional experience
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage and communicate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes
