Medical Lead Services, Education & Life Cycle Management (f/m/d)

About This Role

As Medical Lead Services, Education & Life Cycle Management you will lead the medical strategy and activities for the late life cycle neurology and biosimilars portfolio, as well as the pipeline portfolio. You will oversee the field- and office based late life cycle medical teams and manage services and educational offerings across all existing and future indications. Additionally, you will ensure a patient-centric strategy aligned with global/regional patient service strategies and drive the digitization of patient services, effectively managing strategic projects and KPI-driven evaluations.

What You Will Do

• Strategic Leadership and Oversight
• Act as peer in the development of the regional / global medical LCM strategy by sharing medical and healthcare system insights at all company levels; working cross-functionally with key internal partner functions to address the unmet medical needs in Germany
• Lead, develop and implement country medical plans for LCM and pipeline portfolio; partnering with the affiliate leadership team across functions to define, establish and execute a coherent local strategic plan that addresses patient needs
• Lead medical field-based colleagues to ensure full alignment with global/regional strategy and support better understanding of current local unmet medical needs and steer the scientific exchange with the respective external stakeholder committee
• Partner and collaborate with market access and support regulatory strategies for product specific activities
• Work closely with cross functional colleagues including commercial teams to create and drive medical product tactics that have the ability to enhance patient well-being and that deliver value to both patients and their healthcare teams.
• Develop and lead aligned patient service strategy for Germany, focusing on our 3 service design principles: quality, continuity, personalization
• Lead aligned education strategy for Germany and own responsibility and oversight for patient support programs
• Continuously analyze market and identify unmet patient needs to provide innovative solutions
• Prepare the team for the addition of future indications; ensure launch readiness
• Organizational alignment
• Build up and maintain strong partnerships with local x-functional and regional Medical functions.
• Develop and manage budgets for medical activities and provide input into the affiliate budgeting and planning process
• Team management
• Manage, coach and develop direct reports, including objective setting and measuring performance vs. objectives
• Lead and motivate the team to maximize team performance, identify inefficiencies and implement adaptions to meet them
• Build a high performing team including effective succession planning and career development to meet current and future demands
• Drive organizational development and changes and structure in line with business needs
• Ensure compliance with Biogen regulations, code of business conduct and local laws
• Oversee services, education and LCM budget
• Oversee vendor management in close collaboration with Medical Operations
  

Who You Are

The ideal candidate should be a strategic leader with a deep understanding of the medical landscape and healthcare system in Germany, capable of developing and implementing country-specific medical plans for both late life cycle and pipeline products. She/he should excel in cross-functional collaboration, driving patient-centric strategies always ensuring alignment with global/regional goals. Additionally, they must be charismatic and people oriented leader, fostering a high-performing environment and continuously analyzing market needs to provide innovative solutions..

Required Skills

• Master in science, marketing, economics or equivalent
• Broad and approx. 10+ year long experience from biotech / pharma business
• Crossfunctional experience across multiple cross functional disciplines (medical, sales, marketing or within a function)
• Strong leadership experience and people oriented mindset
• Experience from highly crowded, competitive markets with cost containment
• Experience from growth business; launching new products, starting new business
• Fluent language skills in German and English
