Job Description

• Next Generation acoustic transducer: You will work in your working student position on measurement and simulation of MEMS transducer. One of your closer tasks will be to work with different kinds of MEMS structures for future acoustic applications
• Expand your horizons: You will finite element or lumped element simulations to predict the real-life behavior of the MEMS. You will validate your improved model with measurements done in the lab
• Shape the future: With your new model optimizations of MEMS structures can be derived therefrom
  
  

Your Profile

• Study field: You are currently studying Physics, Electrical Engineering, Micro- and Nanotechnologies or similar
• Simulation: You demonstrate knowledge in a laboratory environment and have ideally already gained knowledge in numerical simulations using FEM software like COMSOL and lumped element modeling with circuit simulators like LT Spice or Advanced Design System (ADS)
• Skills: You are proficient in Python or MATLAB and possess experience working in a laboratory environment and working with demonstrators
• Way of working: You provide strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are able to work independently
• Experience: You have ideally already gained experience with MEMS, especially acoustic MEMS like microphones and optional acoustics, fluidics respectively
• Personality: You describe yourself as a self-organized and structured person
• Language skills: You have fluent English or German skills, written and spoken

Important information:

• Working part-time: The focus is on studies. Therefore, working student is possible during the lecture period with a maximum of 20 hours per week.
• Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: You must be enrolled and the examination results or modules of your studies must not have been completed yet, so that you can still work in our team for at least 6 months. You must also not be in a semester of leave.
• You should live close to the site: It is important for us to work with you on site and to integrate you into the team. You should therefore be able to come to the site regularly
