Team Overview
Global Investor Relations is the team responsible within LaSalle for all client relationships, capital raising, and new product development to clients and prospects globally. The team consists of 32 professionals located in 12 offices worldwide. LaSalle has over 500 active institutional clients globally, invested in private real estate as well as listed securities investment programmes. LaSalle has an existing client base of institutional LPs in the DACH-Region invested across different products and strategies around the world.
Objective of the Role
LaSalle is seeking an experienced professional to join the Investor Relations team as Senior Relationship Manager for the DACH-Region. The Investor Relations team covering the DACH-Region is Munich-based and currently consists of 4 members.
The objective is to grow the team’s coverage and equity raising. This role will report to the Head of Investor Relations for DACH, Nordics and Spain, currently based in Paris.
The role will focus on Relationship Management through the managing of relationships and marketing of LaSalle funds. The candidate will be the main relationship manager for several large clients and consultants based in the DACH-Region.
Role and Accountabilities:
Client Relationship Management
- Responsibility for large LaSalle clients and client prospects as a senior face in the DACH-Region alongside more junior Relationship Managers assigned to the client’s geography. Clients are likely to be pension funds, insurance companies, endowments, consultants, multi-manager funds, large family offices, banks serving HNW clients and securities’ distributors.
- Develop and maintain strong personal relationships with the key individuals at clients and key prospective clients.
Capital Raising
- Lead the presentation of all LaSalle products globally, including co-mingled funds, separate accounts, single transactions, joint ventures, and services to their clients, both for LaSalle private real estate business as well as Global Securities.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of each of LaSalle’s investment strategies and our relevant track record and capabilities.
- Ensure that all products marketed to their coverage are consistent with appropriate regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Independently sourcing business within assigned client base.
- Ensure that more junior LaSalle team members presenting to a client or consultant are fully briefed on the specific individuals and their backgrounds as well as the nuances of the client, their investment objectives, and their historical and existing investments on a global basis.
- Work with the relevant product teams and compliance to prepare responses to RFPs and to negotiate relevant terms and conditions of potential mandates.
- Represent LaSalle at internal and external events.
Teamwork and Communication
- Possibility to be or become the direct manager and oversee the activities and career development of more junior Investor Relations members..
- Collaborate closely with other members of Investor Relations, Research & Strategy, Private Equity and Global Solutions to share ideas and approaches to maximise our capital raising and client coverage.
- Actively use Juniper Square, LaSalle’s Client Relationship Management system, to log client contact information and feedback so that it is shared with the firm.
- Work in conjunction with Legal & Compliance to ensure that all marketing materials are compliant with local regulations.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in investment management, consulting, banking or real estate acquisitions or development
- The ideal candidate will have experience in business development, capital raising and related activities preferably in real estate and/or alternative assets
- Fluent in German and English is a requirement. Another language would be an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the above required languages
