We are looking for a Working Student - Data Scientist at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (m/f/d), based in Munich

Your Team

Our team is committed to analyzing and interpreting claims data. The team is responsible for processing and managing large volumes of claims data from various sources, such as internal systems, external databases, and third-party providers.

The Impact You Will Have

The working student at the Global Claims Reporting & Analytics department at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) will support the data science team in the development of A.I. solutions within any ongoing projects. Within the analytics team, you will work together with other data scientists on global projects related to claims fraud detection, fuzzy matching, claims automation, and related topics using state of the art machine learning approaches.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Understanding input data sources.
• Support in developing end-to-end machine learning solutions.
• Processing of data sources toward specific business goals.
• Supporting the team in ad hoc data analysis.
  
  

What You’ll Bring To The Role

• Currently enrolled in university studies with a technical/analytical focus such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or similar.
• Strong analytical and conceptual capabilities.
• Very good programming skills in Python is a must.
• Solid Machine learning knowledge is required.
• Software development orientation is a plus (agile, Jira, CI/CD, Docker, etc.).
• Experience in Linux and Git code version control is required.
• Experience in using REST APIs (Python’s Flask, Django) would be a plus.
• Basic statistics knowledge would be a plus.
• Good communication skills.
• Very good command of the English language, German language is beneficial though not required.
  
  

Further Information:

• Duration at least 6 months (preferably longer).
• Working hours: 20 hours/week.
• Enrollment at the university/college is a prerequisite for the duration of employment.
