As PR Manager at bunq, you'll be at the forefront of our mission to make waves in Germany, where we currently don't have a strong presence yet. Unlike our strong presence in the Netherlands, these new markets offer exciting potential for storytelling and growth. You’ll help us spread the word by positioning our company's achievements, products, and services in mass media, and by building strong relationships with reporters in your country. You’ll be the go-to expert for localizing the global PR strategy in your market.

Take ownership:

As the driving force behind bunq’s media presence in Germany, you’ll play a pivotal role in expanding our influence and sharing our story.

• Develop Strategic Media Campaigns: Design and implement media relations campaigns that maximize available resources and prioritize creativity over paid solutions.
• Build and Maintain Relationships: Leverage your media relations experience to establish and sustain meaningful connections with journalists, editors, and industry influencers.
• Craft Persuasive Content: Write press releases and create messaging in your local language to effectively communicate bunq’s stories and values.
• Crisis Management: Proactively manage potential crises by preparing and delivering effective crisis statements with speed and confidence.
• Monitor and Respond: Track media coverage, respond to inquiries, and transform challenges into opportunities for positive publicity.
• Represent bunq: Ensure our presence at key events and awards, thoroughly preparing speakers for success.
• You have a proven track record in public and media relations and thrive on a proactive, hands-on approach.
• You are a strong writer and editor with excellent communication skills.
• You are a strategic thinker who can develop and execute effective PR campaigns.
• You're resilient and resourceful, thriving on learning from every experience—success or setback.
• You are passionate about our company's mission and values.
• You are familiar with the media landscape relevant to our industry and digital nomads.

If you're located outside the Netherlands, you'll travel to Amsterdam for onboarding and visit our Dutch headquarters 4 times a year. While we have small office spaces available in Munich, you're welcome to work from home. You'll join a remote team, with most of your PR colleagues based in Amsterdam and one dedicated PR Manager per country.
