Internship - Electronic Design and PCB Layout - #2109734

Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

We want you as a talented Electronic Design and PCB Layout Engineer to help us in our mission by designing and testing the building blocks for our Nyx Avionics system.

Key Responsibilities

Duties

In your capacity as a Electronic Design and PCB Layout Engineer, your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day your duties will include:

• Design, Simulation and Schematic entry of circuit parts in LTSPICE and Altium Designer
• Layout of the circuits onto the PCBs
• Creating production documents and documentation like BOMs and Gerber files
• Understanding the effects of radiation and a wide temperature range to electronic circuits
• Test of the assembled PCBs and debugging of circuits in the laboratory
• Soldering and adapting of parts
• Automation of assembled PCB testing
  
  

What we would love to see from you

In the role of Electronic Design and PCB Layout Engineer ideally, you will have the following:

• A masters/bachelor degree in electronic science or engineering
• Digital and Analog Electronic Design Knowledge
• Experience with Altium Designer and LTSPICE or comparable software solutions
• Experience with Python
• Basic knowledge of verification and validation of avionics and embedded software
• Basic understanding of space avionics
