Role Overview
As a Platform Sales Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation across the AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Owner/Operator) EMEA Midmarket. Collaborating closely with the current Platform Sales Specialist, Territory Account Sales Executives (TASE), and Technical Sales Specialists (TSS), you will help customers connect all aspects of the design process through next-level automation and cloud-based solutions. Your mission is to empower designers and organizations to collaborate more effectively, optimize workflows, and achieve smarter outcomes. Additionally, you will work closely with business partners to ensure seamless execution of strategies and deliver exceptional value to customers. A key part of your role will also involve prospecting Whitespace customers to uncover new opportunities and expand Autodesk’s footprint in low penetrated markets.
The Platform Sales Specialist will support account owners and will act as an enabler for the Territory Account Sales Executives, focusing on high-impact activities such as helping to facilitate ROI and NPV Studies, ABC Pro Sprints, solution alignment, and execution of sales strategies.

Responsibilities
- Solution Storytelling: Translate complex ideas into clear, concise, and compelling solution stories that align with customers’ business values. Present these solutions credibly to influence, educate, and inspire customers about Autodesk’s AECO Cloud solutions and its role as a central partner in their digital transformation journey.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute business plans targeting customer segments within the AECO EMEA Midmarket. Include strategies to address business needs in collaboration with internal teams and partners.
- Whitespace Prospecting: Identify and engage whitespace within existing Autodesk Midmarket Accounts to uncover untapped opportunity for Autodesk’s AECO Cloud solutions. Develop tailored approaches to introduce these customers to Autodesk’s value proposition and drive adoption.
- Collaboration Across Teams: Partner closely with the entire ATU, for example, TASEs, TSSs, BDRs and CS to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies. Work collaboratively to develop repeatable sales plays and tools such as ROI studies, product sprints, reference stories, Value studies and TAM calculations.
- Partner Engagement: Build strong relationships with business partners (resellers) to drive mutual success. Collaborate with partners to identify opportunities, co-develop strategies, and deliver best-in-class customer experience.
- Pipeline Ownership: Identify, manage, and close opportunities in collaboration with internal stakeholders and partners. Maintain a strong sense of accountability for driving pipeline progress.
- Forecasting & Reporting: Deliver accurate weekly and quarterly forecasts. Provide insights to internal teams regarding product feedback and market trends.
- Industry Leadership: Represent Autodesk as a thought leader in industry events. Build strategic relationships to maximize penetration of AECO Cloud services across the ecosystem.
- Customer Engagement: Foster close collaboration with customers by leveraging Autodesk’s integrated solutions like BIM Collaborate Pro, Docs, and Platform Services. Highlight benefits such as real-time collaboration, automated clash detection, single source of truth across the project lifecycle, and interoperability.
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical skills, exceptional customer focus, and a proactive approach to collaboration.
- Proven track record in sales or business development roles at global high-tech companies, particularly in SaaS or cloud-based solutions.
- Experience working within matrix organizations requiring coordination across multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience working closely with business partners (e.g., resellers) to drive joint success.
- Proven ability to prospect whitespace customers effectively—identifying untapped markets or accounts—and converting them into long-term clients.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
- Educational background or experience in fields such as Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture and familiarity with Autodesk solutions is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience with financial metrics such as Return on Investment (ROI) and Net Present Value (NPV) analysis is highly valued. The ability to articulate the financial benefits of Autodesk solutions to customers and stakeholders is a significant advantage.
- Business fluency in English plus one additional language (German, French, Spanish, or Italian).
