Minimum qualifications:

• PhD degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• One or more scientific publication submission(s) for conferences, journals, or public repositories.

Preferred qualifications:

• 2 years of coding experience in Python, JavaScript, R, Java, or C++.
• Experience in machine learning, computer vision, and deep learning, in particular around visual language models or large multimodal models, proven by publications or research artifacts.
• Research experience in the field of visual language models for scene, objects, and text understanding.
• Experience working in an industry or academic research lab, focusing on multiple aspects of the "research to product" pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative computer vision and machine learning technology for applications in the field of XR and beyond.
• Lead productionization of innovative computer vision and ML technology in the area of visual language models for scene, object, and text understanding, including development and optimization of the ML model, integration in a mobile framework, hillclimb, and evaluation.
• Establish and maintain relationships with main stakeholders and keep recurring updates on the advancements of the project, making sure that their expectations are aligned to the research and engineering work.
